Richard S. Brost, aged 86, of Lemont, was the beloved husband of Barbara (nee Bratyanski) for 63 years. He was the loving father of David (Carol) Brost, Lisa (Kent) Kross, and Julia Brost. Richard was the cherished papa of David Jr. (Kaleigh) Brost, Kristina (Matt) Parks, Jessica Brost, Cameron Kross, Christine, Nicholas, Kevin John, and the late Michael John. He was also the adored "Old Papa" of Gracie, Davey, and Maddie. Richard was the dear uncle of Karen (Joe) Voitik and Jill Gillono, and the brother-in-law of Patricia (Jon) Christensen and the late Joseph Bratyanski. Additionally, he was survived by many loving relatives and friends.

Richard served in the National Guard and was the owner and President of Perfect Auto Rebuilders, Inc. He had a multifaceted life, being a classic car collector and rebuilder, a local champion stock car driver, an avid sportsman, a world traveler, and a connoisseur of spirits and fine cuisine.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at SS Cyril & Methodius Church, 608 Sobieski Street, Lemont, IL 60439, for a Memorial Mass at 10 a.m. The interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery.
