Homewood, IL - Bernard William Hogancamp, a longtime resident of Homewood, Illinois, peacefully passed away on Monday, January 27, 2025. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of nearly 60 years, Georgiana (Gena) Hogancamp (nee Payovich). Bernard was a devoted father to Bernard S. Hogancamp (Jean), Caryn (Brian) Thompson, and Cheryl (Rich) Fink. He was a loving grandfather to Samuel (Brittany) Hogancamp, Robbie Fink, Jake (Rachel) Thompson, Alex (Breanna) Hogancamp, Zach Thompson, Jeff Madden, Mike (Jen) Hopf, and Kevin (Kate) Hopf. He also cherished his role as a great-grandfather to Carson and Cameron (Sam and Brittany) Hogancamp. Bernard was a beloved brother-in-law and affectionately known as “Uncle Bern” to many nieces and nephews.

Bernard was a devoted White Sox fan, and his dedication was honored with an engraved brick in Championship Plaza at 35th & Shields. Following his wishes, a private interment took place at Oakwoods Cemetery, with a later celebration of his life scheduled for the future.
