Doug Erwin, 52, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2025, in Manhattan. He was the beloved husband of Charla Erwin (nee Shworles), loving father of Keltan and Ryan Erwin, and cherished son of Debra and James Erwin. Doug was also a devoted brother to Mike Erwin and a fun cousin, uncle, brother-in-law, and friend to many.

Doug will be remembered for his dedicated service as a full-time firefighter for Bedford Park, Assistant Chief of the Tinley Park Fire Department for 28 years, and Division Chief of the Naperville Fire Department for 20 years.

A Visitation for Doug Erwin will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Brady-Gill Funeral Home, 16600 S. Oak Park Ave., Tinley Park. A Funeral Service is scheduled for Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Tinley Park, with interment at Good Shepherd Cemetery. Doug will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and community.
