George S. Lewis | O'Neil Funeral Home And Heritage Crematory - Lockport

George S. Lewis, 77, of Joliet, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Originally from Chicago, George resided in Lockport, Homer Glen, and later settled in Joliet in 2023. A graduate of Butler University with a Pharmacy Degree, he dedicated many years to serving as a Pharmacist at various establishments including Cavetts Pharmacy, Hills Pharmacy, Eli Lilly Drug Company, and Corwin Pharmacy. An avid fisherman, George found immense joy in spending time with his family.

George was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Karen Lewis, and his parents, George and Marie Lewis. He is survived by his three loving children, Michele Evans, Richard Lewis, and Sara Fazio; son-in-law Mark Fazio; five cherished grandchildren, Madison, Natalie, Josophine, Francesca "Frankie," and Dominic; brother Tom Lewis, and numerous other family members and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to the Lewis Family, which will be donated to Trinity Christian School and Holy Family Catholic School in Shorewood in George's name.

Cremation rites have been respectfully addressed. A memorial visitation will be held at the O'Neil Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, February 15, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 4:30 p.m.
