James A. La Tour, 57, of Custer Park, IL, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee, IL. Born on March 1, 1967, in Joliet, IL, to James A. Segatto and Betty La Tour, Jim was an Electrician for Local Union #176, retiring in May 2023. He married Anna Reese on June 11, 2005. An outdoor enthusiast, Jim enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling, fishing, 4-wheeling, and attending concerts, but most of all spending time with his family. Known for his witty humor, Jim had a gift for making others laugh, and he was valued for his loyalty and willingness to help others.

He is survived by his wife Anna, son Nathan La Tour, daughter Lara La Tour, mother Betty La Tour, step-father Bob La Tour, sister Beth (Paul) Swearengen, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, James A. Segatto, son Cameron Albert La Tour, cousin Brandon Robertson, and grandparents Cleo and Louise Robertson.

Visitation will be held at R.W. Patterson Funeral Home & Crematory on Sunday, February 2, 2025, from 1:00-5:00 p.m., with Cremation rites to follow the services.
