WILMINGTON — William C. Griffith, 84, of Wilmington, passed away on Wednesday morning, February 19, 2025, in New Lenox.

Born on May 2, 1940, in Harvey, Illinois, William was the son of Clancy William Griffith and Elizabeth Workman. He spent many years as a proud teamster, working to provide for his family. William was a resident of Wilmington for 18 years and enjoyed membership at the Will County Sportsmans Club, Lake Will, where he found happiness in boating and the lake lifestyle.

Survivors include five children, five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of William's life will be held at a later date. Family and friends are invited to share memories and condolences on William's memorial page at www.BaskervilleFuneral.com. Cremation services were entrusted to Reeves, Fruland & Baskerville Funeral Homes and Crematory in Wilmington.
