Nancy Jane Maddock, 82, a proud Evanston native known for her warm laughter and unwavering devotion to faith, family, and fun passed away at the age of 82. During her 61 years of marriage to her beloved husband, George Albert Maddock, they shared a life filled with giggles, Sunday dinners, and enduring love.

Nancy, a graduate of St. Athanasius Grade School, Marywood High School, and St. Mary's College, found purpose in serving others. Her Navy adventure with George and their four children led them to various locations before his career with the Keebler Company kept them on the move. Nancy's joyous spirit spread through nine addresses in 11 years, fostering friendships and embodying faith, family, and fun wherever she went.

Alongside George, Nancy raised her children, William, Michael, David, and Ellen, cheering them on through life's ups and downs. Her love extended to her six grandchildren and her two sisters, Mary Lou Armel and Susan Haley (Phil).

A lover of books and a deep believer in her faith, Nancy embraced life and shared her passion for laughter, music, and celebration with all. Her unfaltering laughter and ability to turn any occasion into a reason for joy will forever be remembered by those whose lives she touched.

A service in memory of Nancy will be held at St. John Neumann Parish in Homewood, with lying-in-repose and Mass scheduled on Wednesday, February 12th. An inurnment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery at the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Indiana, at a future date. For more information, please contact (708) 798-5300.
