Jerome "Jerry" Joel Panzer | Baskerville Funeral Home - Wilmington

Jerome "Jerry" Joel Panzer, 85, a longtime Wilmington, Illinois resident and a proud United States Army veteran, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. Born in Oak Park, Illinois, Jerome served in the United States Army during the Vietnam era and dedicated 34 years to CPC International before retiring. He was known for his love of the outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing, and his commitment to his family. Survived by his wife, three children, and seven grandchildren, Jerome was a fierce protector and provider known for his devotion to his family and his selfless care for his wife in her time of need. A man of integrity and strength, Jerome set a noble example for his family and cherished spending time with his grandchildren, fostering their love for nature and adventure. Jerome's patriotism, respect for nature, and sense of humor endeared him to all who knew him. Contributions in his memory may be made to Operation Smile Cleft Lip and Palate Organization. Funeral arrangements are being managed by Reeves, Fruland, and Baskerville Funeral Homes and Crematory.
