Carolyn Bright Kurth | Baskerville Funeral Home - Wilmington

Carolyn Bright Kurth, 78, of Wilmington, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Monday, March 17, 2025. Born in Paris, Illinois, Carolyn was a loving grandmother who found joy in life's simple pleasures. She dedicated herself to her family and cherished her role as a grandmother after a career in secretarial work. A member of St. Rose Catholic Church, Carolyn enjoyed ceramics, tai chi, gardening, and attending garage sales. She took pride in her home and supported the Wilmington Wildcats and the Chicago White Sox. Remembered for her feisty nature and generous heart, she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Carolyn is survived by her husband, children, step-daughter, grandchildren, great-granddaughter, siblings, and extended family. A celebration of Carolyn's life will be held at the Wilmington V.F.W. on April 5, 2025. She will be interred at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery. Contributions in her memory can be made to the Riverside Healthcare Foundation for their Cancer Institute. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Reeves, Fruland & Baskerville Funeral Homes and Crematory.
