Ellen R. Day, 69, of Schererville, IN, formerly of Lansing, IL, passed away on March 12, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her siblings Ronald and Martha Day. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at First Church (PCA) in Lansing, IL, with interment at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crown Point, IN. Ellen, a dedicated nurse and avid traveler, will be remembered fondly by her loved ones. In lieu of flowers, donations to Samaritan's Purse or the American Breast Cancer Foundation are appreciated. Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
