Survived by his wife, nieces, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and his rescue pit bull mix Rayna, Ronald has been described as a compassionate and animal-loving individual. He spent 30 years at Amtrak before retirement, enjoying conversing with people and practicing his love for Ham Radio operation since 1972. An active member of Landmark Lodge No. 422, AF&AM, Ronald volunteered at charities such as PAWS of Tinley Park and "Meals on Wheels," spreading kindness wherever he went.
Visitation is scheduled for March 26 at the Tews-Ryan Funeral Home in Homewood. In lieu of flowers, donations to an animal-related charity are appreciated. Ronald's memory will live on through his compassion and love for animals.
