Rita Marie Ducat, aged 74, of Flossmoor, peacefully passed away on March 23, 2025, after a thirty-year battle with multiple sclerosis. She was the devoted wife of Dennis Ducat, loving mother of Richard, Diana, and Garrett Ducat, and cherished grandmother of Marco, Niccolo, and Liviana. Rita was also the dear sister of Carol Copak and Jean Grish, and a fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.

A graduate of Thornton Township High School and Fox Business College, Rita worked as a legal secretary in Chicago's Loop before becoming an administrative assistant at Illinois Bell Telephone. She dedicated her time as a Cub Scout den mother and volunteered as an educator and storyteller at Infant Jesus of Prague school. Rita enjoyed cooking, animals, gardening, reading, and helping others.

Rita will be fondly remembered for her kind and caring nature. Her strength and warmth will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Visitation was held at Tews-Ryan Funeral Home in Homewood. In lieu of flowers, donations to the South Suburban Humane Society or a charity of choice are appreciated.
