Chris (Krzysztof) Deka, a compassionate soul known for his warmth and kindness, passed away on March 10, 2025, in Hinsdale, Illinois, after bravely battling cancer. Born on June 24, 1951, in Warsaw, Poland, Chris's nurturing spirit and healing touch touched the lives of many.

Growing up in Warsaw, Chris developed a love for music, meditation, and yoga. His career as a Care Giver showcased his empathy and connection with others. A practitioner of reflexology and the Reiki Method of Natural Healing, Chris believed in holistic wellness and the power of finding balance and peace.

His passion for animals, particularly dogs, demonstrated his caring nature. Chris also found solace in music and was known for his kind words, attentive listening, and unconditional love.

He is survived by his sister, Eve Miroslawa Czachowska, and nieces and nephew, Catherine, Alice, and Victor. Chris's legacy of kindness and genuine care will be cherished by all who knew him.

Visitation will be on Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium in Justice, Illinois. The funeral service will follow at Our Lady Mother of the Church Polish Mission in Willow Springs for Mass at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery Garden Mausoleum in Justice. Donations toward masses are appreciated, and a memorial tree can be planted in memory of Chris through the Tree Store.
