Robert Earl “Bob” Wiersema, 58, of Cissna Park, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at his home. He was born on June 6, 1966, in Rhode Island, the son of Robert Gage and Donna Fordham. Robert married Candy Searle on May 13, 1995, in Bourbonnais. He was a music enthusiast, enjoying Rock, Blues, and Country genres, and a retired military veteran with seven years of service in the United States Army.

Survived by his wife, Candy, sisters Ann Pearson, Amy Blecher, Rebecca Smith, Melinda Bloomingburg, brothers Ray Starr, Randy Wiersema, Alan Coughenour, Robert Gage, nieces, nephews, stepmothers, and other relatives. Robert is predeceased by his fathers Bob Gage and James Wiersema, mother Donna Starr, and brother Raymond Wiersema.

Visitation will be on May 9, 2025, at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. Additional visitation and the service will be on May 10, 2025, at the same location, followed by burial at Mound Grove Gardens in Kankakee. Memorials to the NRA are appreciated.
