Scott Sprague Histed, aged 69, of Frankfort, IL, passed away on April 13, 2025, following a courageous 39-year battle with Multiple Sclerosis. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann, son James, stepchildren Laura, Joe, and Tom, grandchildren, great-grandson, sister Sandra, and caregiver Kassidi Kush. Preceding him in death were his son Gregory, sister Gayle, and parents Ralph and Gladys. Histed, a third-generation owner of National Acid-Proofing, Inc., was a man of diverse interests, known for his knowledge, love of aviation, and dedication to Boy Scouts of America. Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday at Lawn Funeral Home in Orland Park, IL. Interment will be private.
