Frankfort - Bernadine M. DeMent, 84, of Frankfort, died on Sunday, April 20, 2025 at Northwestern Medicine Palos Hospital in Palos Heights. Survived by children Karen McGinnis, Kevin Welch, Brian Welch, siblings Norbert Farnaus, Ronald Farnaus, grandchildren Colleen Ritter, Erin Janozik, Kelly Weber, Sean Walker, Shannon Welch, Kevin Welch, Tyler Welch, Connor Welch, Kaylee Welch, Laura Welch, Adam Welch, Aiden Welch, great grandchildren Nora Ritter, Madelyn Ritter, Isaiah Walker, Sarah Walker, beloved pet King Louie. Preceded in death by parents Alexander & Jean Farnaus, husband Robert DeMent. Former member of South Suburban Chicago Newcomers and South Baldwin Newcomers in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Enthusiastic golfer who enjoyed golfing leagues, traveling, and golfing with granddaughters. Visitation on April 23, 2025, 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kurtz Memorial Chapel. Funeral on April 24, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Mokena. Interment at Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery, Orland Park. Donations recommended to PAWS of Tinley Park.
