Anna Zalińska, a Pillar of the Polish Highlanders Community, Passes Away at 68

Anna Zalińska, a prominent figure in the Polish Highlanders community, has passed away at the age of 68 on April 15, 2025. She served as the long-time President of Kolo No. 58 of the Parish of Ząb and was the respected founder and President of Kolo No. 81 Bustryk, part of the Polish Highlanders Alliance of North America. Zalińska was instrumental in the growth and success of Kolo No. 81 Bustryk.

Throughout her years of service, Anna Zalińska documented community events as an esteemed photographer, providing a window into the activities of the Polish Highlanders Alliance of North America. She will be fondly remembered for her warmth and congeniality. Zalińska is survived by her nephew Wojciech Bobak, niece Janina Stasik, relatives, and numerous friends.

Visitation will take place on Friday, April 25, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium in Justice, Illinois. The funeral will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, with prayers and procession starting at 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home to Saint Mary of Czestochowa Church in Cicero, Illinois for an 11:00 a.m. Mass. Interment will follow at Cmentarz Parafialny in Ząb, Poland.

Anna Zalińska's dedication to preserving the traditions and culture of the Polish Highlands has left an indelible mark, and her legacy will continue to inspire the community she served with such passion and commitment.
