Hank's high school basketball talents shone through as an All-State selection for two years, followed by his time at Joliet Junior College on an athletic scholarship. He transitioned into engineering at Caterpillar Tractor Company before embarking on a successful career in the insurance industry. As the owner of Jessen Insurance Agency, he spent over 35 years aiding families in securing their futures. Hank held memberships with the National Rifle Association and the National Horseshoe Pitching Association, excelling in the sport and clinching various victories.
A respected businessman, Hank's passion extended to hobbies like fishing and model railroads. He leaves behind a legacy marked by his dedication to family and community, his warm spirit, and his unwavering commitment to those around him.
Survived by his five children, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces, and nephews, Hank's memory will be cherished by many. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rennae, great-grandson, nephews, and a close friend.
In accordance with Hank's wishes, cremation rites were performed, and a private graveside service will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Wilmington alongside his wife.
