Specifically, we have requested details including Parcel ID, Year, Tax Value, and Assessed Value for properties within the county.
This request is made under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act, 5 ILCS 140, with a preference for receiving the information in electronic format. As members of the media dedicated to gathering and reporting news that holds public institutions accountable, we believe this information is crucial for providing transparency to the public. Furthermore, given our role in disseminating important information to the public, we have requested a fee waiver as media professionals.
