The Illinois Conservation Foundation has announced that nominations are open for the 2025 class of the Illinois Outdoor Hall of Fame. This annual event recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to conservation and outdoor recreation in Illinois.

Since its inception in 2002, the Hall of Fame has honored mentors who have introduced many people to activities such as hunting, fishing, and wildlife stewardship. These individuals have also been instrumental in championing habitat restoration, ensuring clean water, and preserving outdoor heritage for future generations.

"These are the people who don't just enjoy the outdoors, they make it better for everyone," said Jenny Vaughn, executive director of the Illinois Conservation Foundation. "We're proud to celebrate their stories and their impact."

Those chosen for the 2025 class will be formally inducted at a gala next spring. To nominate someone who has made an outstanding contribution to the outdoors, visit the ICF website and complete the nomination form by July 15.
