The Du Quoin State Fair has announced that Tucker Wetmore will headline the Grandstand stage on Saturday, August 30. Wetmore has quickly gained recognition in the country music industry, amassing over 855 million streams within a year. His debut singles "Wine Into Whiskey" and "Wind Up Missin' You" have both been certified RIAA PLATINUM and featured on the Billboard Hot 100.
Wetmore's recent activities include his first headlining tour, Waves on a Sunset, and performances alongside Kameron Marlowe and Luke Bryan. He is also set to support Thomas Rhett on the Better In Boots tour this year.
"Tucker Wetmore is a perfect fit for the Du Quoin crowd," stated Jerry Costello II, Director of the Illinois Department of Agriculture. "He's dynamic, he's authentic, and we're proud to feature him at the Du Quoin Grandstand."
Wetmore is nominated for ACM New Male Artist of the Year and has contributed two tracks to the Twisters movie soundtrack. He recently debuted at the Grand Ole Opry and released his debut album What Not To.
"We couldn't be more excited to welcome Tucker Wetmore to the Grandstand lineup," said Du Quoin State Fair Manager Luke Davison. "His energy, voice, and connection with fans is electric. This is going to be one of those nights you remember long after the fair is over."
