Catherine "Cathy" Remezas | Curley Funeral Home

Catherine "Cathy" Remezas (nee O'Connor), age 66, of Oak Lawn, passed away on June 27, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Paul for 43 years, and a loving mother to Brendon (Melissa), Courtney, and Christina. Catherine was a proud Irish Nana to Vivienne and Mallory, and the cherished Grammy of Chesney and Wrigley. She was the sister of the late Mary (Steve) Daddona and Jerry O'Connor, and the devoted daughter of the late Jeremiah and Virginia O'Connor.

Catherine was also a dear daughter-in-law of the late Paul and Dorothy Remezas. She leaves behind siblings-in-law James, Regina, Theresa, Dwight, Margaret, and Frank. Catherine will be fondly remembered as a fun Auntie Cathy to Vincent and Steven Daddona, Destiny (Glen) Gdalman, Tiffany (Kenny) Welsh, Stephanie (Michael) Fabinski, Kyle and Teagan Busekros, Jordan Dykhuyzen, and Kristen (Zack) Gross. She was a wonderful cousin and friend to many.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 6, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Curley Funeral Home, located at 6116 W. 111th St., Chicago Ridge. A funeral service will take place on Monday, July 7, 2025, with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m., followed by Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Catherine of Alexandria Church, 10621 S. Kedvale, Oak Lawn. Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
