Theresa A. Parker, 94, Remembered for Dedication to Dance and Family

Theresa A. Parker, aged 94, of Bradley, passed away on July 9, 2025, at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee. Born on December 28, 1930, in Streator, to John and Theresa Hudak, Theresa Parker was a devoted dance teacher and choreographer, owning and instructing at the Theresa Parker School of Dance in Bradley. She was a member of the Chicago National Association of Dance Masters, dedicating herself to the art of dance throughout her life.

Aside from her passion for dance, Theresa enjoyed painting and sewing, showcasing her creative talents. However, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, cherishing moments of love and togetherness with her loved ones. A member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Theresa also contributed her voice to the choir, adding beauty to the church services.

Theresa is survived by five sons: Dave (Tinker) Parker of St. Anne, Vern Parker of Bradley, Tim Parker of Bradley, Jeff (Barbara) Parker of Dunlap, and Chris Parker of Champaign; two daughters, Terri Gregoire of Bradley and Angie (Chip) Hasselbring of Watseka; one sister, Jeanne Gehm of Ames, IA; eleven grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her husband, Vernon Parker, parents, and sister, Mary Urbance.

A visitation is arranged from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais, with a funeral Mass scheduled at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradley. Interment will follow at St. Stephen’s Cemetery in Streator. Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph Catholic Church or for masses.

Theresa A. Parker will be remembered fondly for her dedication to dance, her creative spirit, and her unwavering commitment to her family, leaving a lasting legacy in the hearts of those she loved and inspired.
