Wayne "Vern" T. Walsh, 77, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 6, 2025, in Naperville, IL, surrounded by his loving family. As an Army veteran who served during the Vietnam era, Vern exhibited quiet courage and bravery. His true legacy, however, was his warmth and humor. His infectious laughter, affectionate smile, and special sense of humor brought joy and laughter to all around him. Known as "Super Dad" to his daughter Nikki, Vern was a hands-on father who enjoyed home improvement projects and gardening with her. He is survived by his loving children Nikki Walsh and Bryan (Anne) Walsh, grandchild Anthony Obrochta, sisters Diana Siebert and Nancy (John) Feigl, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Sherry Walsh, parents Jack and Dorothea Walsh, and sister Marylou (Bill) Fraser.
