He is survived by his children Don, Lynn (Mike) LeVigne, and John O'Heir, and his grandchildren DJ O'Heir, Michael, Matthew, and Marcus LeVigne. O'Heir was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Marietta O'Heir (née Rielly).
Visitation will take place on August 23, 2025, at Vandenberg Funeral Home in Mokena, IL, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St Mary's Catholic Church. Inurnment with military honors will be at a later date at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Donations in his memory can be made to a charity of choice.
Donald O'Heir's legacy of love, kindness, and hard work will be remembered by all who knew him.
