Barbara Anne Spaulding (McCoin), 72, of Kankakee, passed away on August 15, 2025, at Bourbonnais Grove after a yearlong battle with cancer. Born on January 12, 1953, in Aroma Park, Barbara was known for her devotion to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, baking, gardening, and spending time with her family. Barbara is survived by her children Stephen Phelps, Stacy Nowman, Tony Nutall, her siblings, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and husband, Jerry Spaulding. Cremation rites have been performed, and a memorial visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. Memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
