A man from Rock Falls, Illinois, has been sentenced to more than eight years in federal prison for distributing methamphetamine. Thomas Dugger, 55, pleaded guilty earlier this year to one count of distribution of five grams or more of methamphetamine. According to the plea agreement, Dugger admitted that in July 2021 he sold 55.7 grams of methamphetamine.
U.S. District Judge Iain D. Johnston sentenced Dugger to 100 months in prison during a hearing held Wednesday at the federal court in Rockford.
The announcement was made by Andrew S. Boutros, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois, and Shane R. Catone, Special Agent-in-Charge of the Chicago Field Division of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Robert S. Ladd represented the government in this case.
