Andrew McCarthy, 81, of Mokena, passed away on August 22, 2025. Originally from County Wexford, Ireland, Andrew immigrated to America in 1952 and later settled in Canaryville. He married his school sweetheart, Sandra Gagen, and together they raised two children, Michelle and Kevin. Andrew was a proud union roofer and built a business with his brother, Phil. Known for his family-oriented nature, he enjoyed camping with his grandchildren and cherished time spent with loved ones. His craftsmanship was evident in the personalized creations he made for his family. Andrew is survived by his daughter, Michelle McCarthy, grandchildren Kylie, Jack, and Brett McCarthy, and siblings. He is preceded in death by his wife, son, parents, and brothers. Visitation and funeral services will be held in Mokena. Flowers or memorial trees can be sent in his memory.
