Five Republican candidates who will be on November’s ballots in districts across Illinois will hold a press conference at 4:30 p.m. Thursday to answer the question “What Happens When Conservative Reformers Infiltrate the Springfield Machine?”
Set to attend are Darren Bailey (District 109), Blaine Wilhour (District 107), Dan Caulkins (District 101), Chris Miller (District 110) and Dwight Kay (District 112), according to a press release.
Three senior Republican lawmakers already serving in the state House of Representatives will host the event, including Reps. Jeanne Ives (R-Wheaton), Tom Morrison (R-Palatine) and Brad Halbrook (R-Shelbyville).

The event, which precedes the VIP Reception for An Evening with Oliver North, will be held in the Truman Room of the Thelma Keller Convention Center, 1202 N. Keller Drive in Effingham.
