Since it was not known what services the agency was supposed to provide to the individual, the board tabled case opening at the November meeting to gather more information. Kim reported that she spoke with the case manager who advised what services the agency provides to the recipient and also sent documentation of appointments with gender change physicians that the agency had scheduled and accompanied the recipient to. After the board reviewed the information provided, Paul Jones made a motion to not accept the complaint for further investigation due to an informal resolution of the complaints, Ryan McAllister seconded, and it carried.

21-110-9008 State Operated Facility – alleges inadequate discharge planning due to the recipient not receiving all personal items upon discharge. The board tabled case opening at the November meeting to allow time for the revised policy on personal property to be received. The HRA obtained the revised policy and reviewed the changes that had been made. Ryan McAllister made a motion to not accept the complaint for further investigation due to an informal resolution being reached, Paul Jones seconded, and it carried.

21-110-9012 Community Mental Health Agency – alleges inadequate treatment. Reportedly, a recipient was to have 10 days of inpatient treatment. However, the agency released the recipient prior to the 10 days for being disruptive and throwing medications, which the recipient denies. Releases have been received, but there needs to be clarification on one of them before the investigation can begin. Kim Conway will schedule the investigation once clarification is received.
