NFIB members gathered in Springfield for the Small Business Legislative Day to engage with legislators and state agencies on issues affecting small businesses. The event was organized by NFIB, Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), and Technology and Manufacturing Association (TMA). It provided a platform for small business owners, legislators, and agency officials to discuss policies relevant to small businesses in Illinois.
The agenda included updates from associations, two panels of discussions, and a legislative reception. The first panel featured representatives from various Illinois departments: Commerce and Economic Opportunity, Revenue, Employment Security, Labor, and Transportation. The second panel included Representative C.D. Davidsmeyer along with Senators Craig Wilcox and Jason Plummer.
During the reception segment of the event, attendees had the chance to interact directly with legislators to share their experiences and stories.
