Born and raised in Chicago by her parents Thomas C. and Theodora Para, Dee attended St. Aloysius High School. Dee's vibrant personality shone through her bartending work, forming lasting friendships and memories.

Dee enjoyed golf, bowling, and was an active member of the Northwest LaSertoma Club. She found solace in reading, puzzles, and crosswords, always facing challenges with a smile.
