Lemont, IL - Richard J. Guzior, age 80, a U.S. Air Force Veteran and proud son of Polish immigrants, Louise and Stanley Guzior, passed away. Richard was a devoted husband to Christine for over 50 years and a loving father to Richard, Russell, Ryan, Charisa, Ronald, Randell, and Carla. He was also a proud Papa to his 18 grandchildren. Richard was the co-founder and owner, alongside his wife, of Richard’s Building Supply Co. since 1978. He was a man known for his generosity and unwavering faith as a devout Catholic.

He is survived by his wife Christine, children, and grandchildren. Richard will be remembered for his dedication to family, his business acumen, and his kind heart.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, from 2-9 p.m. at the Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home in Orland Park, IL. Additional visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, starting at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Franciscan Prayer at 11:15 a.m. and a Mass of the Resurrection at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Woods Church in Orland Park. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to organizations that reflect Richard's spirit of generosity. Those who wish to contribute can donate to The National Center for Padre Pio, Aid for Women, Our Lady of the Woods, Society of St. Vincent de Paul, or Relevant Radio.
