The Illinois State Rifle Association (ISRA) is looking for plaintiffs to join a proposed lawsuit against the state over gun restrictions on home-based daycare centers.
The state of Illinois and the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) are violating gun owners’ Second Amendment rights by prohibiting guns from being kept in homes where a daycare center is operated, according to an ISRA press release. Attorney General Lisa Madigan is also named as a defendant.
“If you operate a daycare in your home and would like to join the suit against DCFS and the State of Illinois please contact David Sigale at dsigale@sigalelaw.com," Richard A. Pearson, executive director of the ISRA, wrote in the press release.
