Chicago's prepaid wireless surcharge drops to 3% in January

Effective January 1, 2024, the surcharge rate for prepaid wireless telecommunications services within Chicago will decrease. The rate will be reduced from 9 percent to 3 percent.

Further details can be found in "FY 2024-11, Prepaid Wireless E911 Surcharge Rate Change, Effective January 1, 2024."
