Applications are now open for the 2025 Conservation Achievement Scholarship program, offered by the Illinois Conservation Foundation (ICF). This annual initiative aims to recognize high school seniors in Illinois who show a significant commitment to conserving the state's natural resources.
This year, four scholarships worth $2,000 each will be awarded. Notably, one scholarship is designated for a qualified applicant who is a dependent of an employee at the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.
"The ICF Conservation Achievement Scholarship program rewards high school students interested in conservation stewardship and protecting Illinois' natural resources," stated Natalie Phelps Finnie, Director of the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.
Since its inception in 2005, these scholarships have been supporting students dedicated to environmental conservation. Eligibility requires applicants to be residents of Illinois and seniors attending an Illinois high school. Applications must be submitted by March 1.
For detailed instructions and access to the application form, individuals can visit the ICF website. Further inquiries or donations to support this scholarship program can be directed to the Illinois Conservation Foundation at 217-785-2003 or via email at info@ilconservation.org.
