The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) has announced the inclusion of four additional professions in its new online licensing system, CORE. The Comprehensive Online Regulatory Environment was launched by IDFPR on October 30, 2024, and is set to replace all existing licensing procedures over the next two years.
The newly added license types include Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA), Licensed Assistant Behavior Analyst (LABA), Behavior Analyst Continuing Education Sponsor, and Licensed Certified Professional Midwife.
"Today’s announcement is yet another significant milestone achieved by the Pritzker Administration in the IDFPR success story," stated IDFPR Secretary Mario Treto, Jr. He further emphasized that his team will continue efforts to transition all professions and services to CORE, enabling more professionals to operate within Illinois.
In addition to rolling out CORE, IDFPR undertook a revamp of outdated licensing processes throughout 2024.
