Orland Park, Ill., Sept. 26, 2025 - Genowefa Kopec, age 85, passed away peacefully on September 26th, 2025 in Orland Park, Illinois. Born in Poland on March 8th, 1940, Genowefa was a pillar of resilience, devotion, and unwavering love for her family and faith.

She is survived by her cherished children Christine (Steven) Garbacik, Justine (Edmund) Skwirut, Wesley Blaszczynski, and Elizabeth (John) Buckley, along with her adoring grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Genowefa's unwavering faith and deep love for her family were evident in the compassion and generosity she extended to all.

A devout Catholic, Genowefa found strength and solace in her faith, guiding her through life with grace and compassion. Her love for gardening mirrored her nurturing spirit, creating a home filled with warmth and love for her family and all who entered.

Genowefa's time spent with her grandchildren was a source of joy, laughter, and lasting memories. Her wisdom and love will forever be treasured by those whose lives she touched. Her legacy of love, kindness, and selflessness will never be forgotten.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium in Justice, Illinois. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, with prayers and procession starting at 9:00 AM from the funeral home to Saint Francis of Assisi Church in Orland Park, Illinois for a 10:30 AM Mass. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, Illinois.

Genowefa Kopec will be dearly missed, but her spirit of love and unity will continue to resonate within the hearts of all who knew her. May she rest in peace, reunited with her beloved Stefan and Marian.
