Maria Karolak, nee Walus, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, known for her quick wit, humor, kindness, and generous heart, peacefully passed away on October 13, 2025, in Lemont, Illinois. Born on September 14, 1933, in Poland, Maria's life was a testament to strength, faith, and love.

Her journey from Poland to the United States showcased courage and determination, guided by her unwavering faith in Christ. Maria's warmth, generosity, and selflessness endeared her to her family, friends, and community, leaving a lasting impact on all she encountered.

Maria is survived by her son, Andrzej Walus, and her siblings Władek, Katarzyna, Anna, Zofia, Krystyna, Janina, and Wojciech. She now joins her beloved husband, Henryk, in heaven, carrying his memory in her heart.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium in Justice, Illinois, followed by a funeral on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Saint Fabian Church in Bridgeview, Illinois, with interment at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, Illinois. Flowers or memorial trees can be sent in Maria's memory through the floral store.
